So, here’s my plan for the garage:

There’s no way we’ll be able to park both vehicles in there AND store the bikes and fridge and lawn mower. Now I understand why our neighbors all have cars parked in their driveways.
My plan is to build a wall-mounted bike rack like this one to keep the bikes from being in the middle of the garage floor, where they’ll be in the way and fall over whenever you look at them funny. They’ll be fairly easy to put up and take down this way.
I had the ambitious notion of building plywood shelves along the walls, but with all the other things we have to do, I’ll probably end up getting chrome shelving units from Target.

You can always build the shelves at a later time. But for now, this plan looks awesome! Check online at Menards for sales of shelving. They are having some great sales lately and may even include free shipping.
(On a funny note, my dyslexic brain read the word “shelves” as shovels and I thought, holy crap! Why do they have so many shovels? What, or more like who, are they burying in the backyard? lol!)

Yep, you can never have too many shovels…
